One-to-One Child Therapy London: The Raviv Method
What is One-to-One Child Therapy
Raviv Practice London provides personalised One-to-One child therapy in London for children aged five and over. The programme uses multple modalities: Primitive Reflexe Integration, Raviv Method, Bal-A-Vis-x and Function Neurology. The therapy is tailored to each child's developmental needs.
The Raviv Method builds on the work of Dr Deborah Sunbeck and the Infinity Walk. Primitive Reflex Integration is a mixture of RMTi and MNRI Programmes. Bill Hubert's Balance, Auditory Vision eXercise (BAVX) programme and the very latest research in brain development as taught by (Dr) Darren Heath Barnes from his functional neurology series of workshops.
By starting from the basics of movement patterns which may have been missed we aim to bridge the developmental gaps so the child's brain can stop compensating and learn for themselves independently.
The programme brings together five main areas:
Simple/and complex movement and motor coordination patterns that support the functioning of both hemipsheres of the brain
Focused strategies for controlling the brain activity necessary for attention and concentration
Visual perception, visual processes to including direction and position
Phonological, reading and maths skills
Memory, sequencing and learning strategies
The balance depends on the child. Raviv Practice London uses its specialist experience to choose suitable activities and build them up in manageable steps.

How do the sessions work and where?
Our bespoke therapy is created individually for each child. Parents first complete an enrolment form this is followed by a consultation. Once a full review is completed the parent will decide on their objectives from which a rough plan is mapped out with a likely duration. Most children we see do not always have a diagnosis but the visible concerns are addressed and a deeper understanding is gained when the practitiioner starts the work.
Sessions (lasting around 50 minutes) usually take place at our West London studion on a weeky basis The child works directly with the practitioner. Progress is reviewed throughout, so the pace and level can change when needed. This helps the child build trust, experience success at an individual level.
Whilst the modalities listed above form the core of the One-To-One programme, it can be adapted to include additional packages (at extra cost) such as the Listening therapy or Interactive Metronome depending on the inviduals needs. This ensures that the programme is indivudally tailored to the needs presented by the child.
What are the results?
Progress is different for every child. Parents may notice changes in movement, focus, confidence, reading, spelling or the ability to remember and follow instructions. The practitioner reviews how the child manages the activities and discusses progress with the family.
The testimonials below share individual experiences of the programme.
