Stevie's mum

My son was nine when I contacted Usha first, I had seen her contact details in the Families magazine and from there researched the Raviv method. The Raviv method seemed ideal for my son, he has always struggled with Literature at school and this has hugely affected his confidence his coordination is also slightly rigid or jerky movements rather than an easy flow. I have tried other tutorial sessions but the workload seems too much for him to cope with. Usha works on more practical methods of re-training the brain with amazing results.

Stevie is now ten and we have been attending weekly sessions with Usha, and I already see improvement. His confidence has risen hugely and he seems to have more friends as a result. His school report this term was fantastic, for the first time ever they have said his reading and writing is just below the average line. As for his coordination Usha has introduced Stevie to Bal-A-Vis-X which he really enjoys and finds spelling much easier to learn. He enjoys it so much that he has began to teach his younger brother some Bal-A-Vis-X and his coordination is starting to flow.

Since joining Usha, Stevie has moved up three levels in swimming, joined a football team and plays with confidence. He has also joined a reading club with three other friends of his, Stevie would never have done this last year. He simply did not have the confidence, but all his hard work has paid off and he is a much happier child.

I am so grateful to Usha for what she has done with my son so far. I feel Stevie could easily and confidently move onto secondary school now.
